Stones are used during meditation. Each colour corresponds to each different colour of your chakra, and thus can promote healing within these areas (along with removing any blockages). You can either place them around you during your meditation sessions, or along your body to represent each of your 7 chakras. You can also carry these around with you on your journeys, or keep them by your bedside, as each colour is said to inspire and attract different moods or circumstances - such as money in abundance, love, health and protection.
These stones absorb and emit different energies, so you can imagine that the more you use them, particularly when in a stressful situation, the more "clogged" they become with that stressful energy. To tackle this, they should be cleaned regularly. The easiest way to clean them is by sprinkling some sea salt over them, and washing them off with cold water. You can also leave them in the rain so that they are washed with 'natural' water. The best way, however to clean or 're-charge' your stones with fresh energy, is via the moon. Leave your stones in a windowsill or garden, (or anywhere that the moon light can reach) on a night of a full moon. Your stones are said to absorb the moon's powerful energy. Ready for re-use. You can find out when next a full moon may occur by downloading the 'Moon' app from the app store, or simply googling it. I've also been recommended by my tarot reader of a stall called 'Atlantis' in crews hill, however, I've heard there are many places in camden market that sell these too. Although it is convenient to purchase stones online, I would highly recommend going to buy your stones in person. This is so you can get a look and feel of particular stones, and you're able to choose stones that you are specifically drawn to, rather than just choosing stones for the sake of it or because they're pretty. This way, you'll be choosing stones you actually need, rather than just stones you want. Stone and crystal prices can range from £0.50p to up to £30.00 depending on the type, size and rarity of them. Just make sure that wherever you purchase your stones, you wash them before you use them - as you don't know who has been handling them before you, so you don't want to absorb any of their energies!
