Feeling the Navy Blues

Every wardrobe needs a cute dress, with a coat, shoes and accessories to go with it. When I chose this dress that was exactly what I had in mind too – my wardrobe was totally missing something, and it was up to me to try to find out how I could change that. Until Femmeluxe came along with this stunning Navy Satin Shaped Cup Mini Dress in the  style Amalia, and I instantly fell in love! I had so much fun styling this gorgeous piece, so keep reading to find out just exactly how I wore it!

​So lets kick off with what this dress actually looks like, because when we go shopping, that’s the first thing you wanna know! The Navy dress is a gorgeous short to mid length style, sitting just above my knees, enough to give it that ‘mini’ dress look. The dress has two cups which are a pointed, triangular shape, and they are detached from the straps, giving a cool ‘bustier’ illusion. The straps are wired, meaning you can wear this without a bra underneath and still have the lift that you so desire. I wore a sticky strapless bra, or ‘invisible insert’ to give me the lift I needed in this fit.

​Now we have your colours, its figuring out what exactly you want to pair this fit with right? As we mentioned earlier, I threw on my long fur coat with the outfit, but of course there are so many ways you can pimp out and style a fit. Some style ideas for adding some character to this look is adding accessories such as earrings, I wore some small hoops with mine. A low neckline means that there is room for necklace, chain, or a choker – depending on your style or what you fancy. It totally shouldn’t stop there either; a mini dress means you have so much leg space for either some fish net tights or even a cute anklet – its also a great opportunity to show off any leg tatts too!

​As the name of the dress implies, this dress is a satin texture, giving it that luxury feel with just how soft and smooth it is. It’s a gorgeous slip so you’re not feeling restricted whilst wearing it either – and thankfully, it also keeps you feeling nice and cool too! You could throw on a long length shaul if a fur coat is too much, or scarf to be styled and worn over it too.
 
So what are my thoughts on the navy satin shaped cup mini dress in Amalia? Personally I would love to have a dress like this in more colours! This fit is so versatile, and I would wear this piece not just for an evening or for a meal, but I would also wear this on a summers day if it were in a brighter colour! I’m super obsessed with this cute dress and I’m so glad I can add yet another gorgeous Femmeluxe piece to my wardrobe!
